Melrose High School Permanent Scholarship Fund

COMMUNITY ASSOCIATES
The Community Associates of Melrose is a charitable organization dedicated to public service in our city. Founded in 1915, they have a proud history of donating to Several worthy causes here in Melrose.

In addition to contributing to the Melrose High School Permanent Scholarship Fund, Community Associates have generously donated to such local organizations as the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital, Red Cross, Melrose High School Bandaiders, and the Boy Scout and Girl Scout troops of the community. It is also important to note that the Associates give financial aid to needy families in the Melrose area throughout the entire year.

The approximately 300 members of Community Associates are financially able to support all of these various organizations and people through the operation of their thrift shop located on Main Street in which they Sell used clothing and assorted knick-knacks. The Associates also are recipients of various endowments which are always put to good use in their charitable activities.

The City of Melrose is indeed fortunate to have an active group like the Community Associates, and they undoubtedly make our city a better place to live.

Therefore, this scholarship that has been awarded to you this year is an expression of sincere caring and generosity on behalf of the Metrose Community Associates.
