Mary Ellen Boyle (née Cass) was born and raised in Rollinsford, NH, where she met her husband of 50 years. She was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas HS (Dover NH) class of 1969. Mary was a resident of Melrose, MA for 41 years, where she built a beautiful life with her family.
Mary was a devoted wife, loving mother, amazing Grammy, beloved sister and aunt and a lifelong friend to so many.
After graduating from UNH, Mary had a long career as an Occupational Therapist. She worked at SEEM Collaborative helping children and also helped many others while working at Bear Hill Rehab and Nursing Center. She spent many years as a board member of the Melrose Youth Ballet. Mary had a passion and talent for sewing and in retirement, especially enjoyed making many projects for the people she loved. She loved the beach, reading, spending time with her family, and being a grandmother. Mary had a generous spirit, a kind soul, sharp wit, great intellect, and always put others first. She made a significant impact on all who loved her, and she will be greatly missed.
The Mary Ellen (Cass) Boyle Memorial Scholarship is awarded to a students entering the Occupational therapy field, or working with special needs students. Also students who were involved in dance.
