Born on February 10, 1963, in Boston, he was one of three children of the late Thomas A. and Barbara A. (Hughes) Zulon. Tom was raised in Brighton and was an upbeat and vibrant spirit who brightened the lives of everyone he met. Tom had a great love for hockey and was a big Boston Bruins fan. He was also a dedicated supporter of girls’ hockey in Melrose and could be found behind the glass during games rooting for his daughter and her team. Tom had a great sense of humor, a friendly and warm personality and was quick with a smile and a handshake to everyone he encountered. He displayed great resilience throughout his life and was an excellent role model and parent. Tom was the epitome of a “family man”. He shared a deep bond with his wife, Liliana and was a caring and devoted father to his two daughters, Jessica and Jacqueline. Tom was a fixture at every event his girls were involved in, cheering for them and helping them learn the importance of teamwork, determination, and good sportsmanship. His influence as a caring dad will forever resonate with them. Tom Zulon passed away on December 31, 2024. This scholarship will help to honor the many great memories he left with all of us. He will be deeply missed.
